Tips for digital sellers
- Fixed fees hit cheap files hardest. On a $2 file, the $0.45 of fixed fees alone is over a fifth of the price. Bundles raise the price per order and cut the share lost to fixed fees.
- Count your time separately. A design you sell many times has almost no cost per sale, but the hours to make it are real. Divide those hours by the sales you expect to see if it pays.
- Ads can cost more than the product. With a low price, a few dollars of ad spend per sale can turn a good margin into a loss. Put your ad cost per sale into the calculator.
